About the Knickerbocker Saloon- Indiana’s Oldest Bar

The Knickerbocker Saloon, Indiana’s oldest bar, has stories to share. President Grant, Mark Twain, Al Capone, and Neil Armstrong have visited us for a drink (or several) over the 180 years we have been in business.

Established in 1835, the Knickerbocker has been serving Greater Lafayette (and visitors alike) an array of cocktails, beers, and wines, all with our renowned hospitality.

Whether our guests are looking to enjoy a drink or two conversing with friends on our patio, have us cater a private event, or want to have a night out listening to Ryan Rollins, Knickerbocker’s own Piano Man, an Acoustic Series set, or some upcoming local talent, we have you covered. We have also recently (August 2019) added four bristle dartboards and a billiards table to our entertainment room for all to enjoy. Need some food while enjoying the Knickerbocker? We offer the full Digby’s Pub menus to our guests with free delivery. We invite you to stop by the Knickerbocker Saloon and be a part of Downtown Lafayette history in the making.
